The 10 Most Popular and Favourite Foods in America

Do a quick survey and see which foods people love. You might get different results from different people, but there are a lot of similarities when it comes to America’s

Everyone knows that pizza, burgers, and fries are huge sellers in both fast food and traditional restaurants.

You might be surprised to know that America’s top 10 favorite foods go far beyond the stuff you’d find in a typical high school cafeteria.

The country’s top food picks in 2022 will vary depending on which city you live in, but we turned to GrubHub to see what Americans were craving in 2022.

The platform, which includes over 320,000 restaurant partners in more than 4,000 cities, has analyzed data from hundreds of thousands of users to find out just which foods (and a few drinks!) we keep ordering again and again.

You’ll enjoy visiting the best burger joints in Los Angeles, but you might also find other interesting items.

10. Miso soup

Miso soup is a staple in Japanese take-out orders. It’s a perfect winter meal. People who love miso soup usually know that it’s made from fermented soybeans. And that’s important because the flavor of miso paste is its umami flavor. Miso paste is important for miso soup but it’s also great in salad dressings and marinades

9. Edamame

Miso is made of fermented soybeans, while edamame is made of young soybeans that have been harvested before they ripen. Boiled in salt water and served as an appetizer, they are then stuffed with meat and served as a side. Shells are fun. Remember to toss the shells.

8. Garlic naan

Grilled dough? We’re there too! Indian bread gets covered with ghee and toasted in a tandoori oven or on a cast-iron skillet, then sliced and served. The basic recipe, which includes two large eggs, is surprisingly simple. You’ll need to start with a high-quality, fresh dough. The difference here is that the garlic isn’t added to the dough until it’s baked, so it’s not mashed into it like it is in pizza recipes. If you want to go all in and brush on some garlic butter after the naan is finished cooking, you can do that.

7. Mozzarella sticks

Cheese fries are thought to have originated in Wisconsin in the 1970s. Of course, there’s no doubt about it that Wisconsin knows its cheese. New York State has over 600 varieties of cheese. They have more cows than people, and they host a cheese festival.

6. Pad thai

Thailand was under the control of the French from 1824-1946. In recent years, not only did the country change its name from Siam to Thailand, but it also became the first. America’s national dish is now an American favorite.

5. French fries

People in Belgium eat much more than people in the United States. They eat around 165 pounds per year. French fries are around for almost two hundred years and they still do not have a soul mate, ketchup.

4. Cheese pizza

Americans love experimenting with toppings on pizza. We’re crazy about pepperoni, sausage, pineapple and even anchovies, but nothing beats a plain cheese pie. They’re calling it a classic because it’s a classic. But I also love this treat and eat it after pizza, too!

3. Hash browns

Only one kind of fried potato is a “top pick” and that’s the home fry. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also much healthier than the standard hash brown. One of the best potato dishes is fried hash browns, made with grated potatoes. They’re crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle. Home fries are made of diced potatoes and onions that are cooked with paprika.

2. Cheeseburger

There is nothing more American than a hamburger. It’s the quintessential American food — something you would have in your house growing up. A hamburger sandwich is the second favorite food in America, right after pizza. In a survey done by National Today, Americans say that American cheese is the most popular cheese for topping a burger, followed closely by cheddar, then pepper jack, Swiss, and provolone.

1. Burrito bowl

The debate about whether a burrito or burrito bowl is better is still ongoing. Some fans claim that burrito bowls have more food than a burrito. It’s the year of the bowl. Grubhub’s latest survey showed that bowl was one of the top three dishes for the year. Even with the upsurge in popularity, the dish is still pretty obscure.
